A Field Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing candidates for open positions in the field, often in specific geographical areas or industries. This role requires frequent travel to visit job sites, attend job fairs, and build relationships with local organizations to identify and attract top talent. Field Recruiters work closely with hiring managers and other recruitment team members to ensure the successful placement of candidates.
1. Talent Sourcing:
• Source candidates through various channels such as job boards, networking events, community outreach, and referrals.
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, educational institutions, and community leaders to enhance candidate pipelines.
2. Screening and Interviewing:
• Conduct initial phone screens, in-person interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills and qualifications.
• Assess cultural fit and potential for success within the hiring organization’s environment.
3. Candidate Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing updates on the status of their application and answering any questions.
• Guide candidates through the hiring process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
4. Job Fairs and Community Outreach:
• Represent the company at job fairs, recruitment events, and other community activities to promote employer brand and attract local talent.
• Coordinate and attend recruiting events to build relationships with potential candidates.
5. Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
• Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, qualifications, and team needs.
• Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment progress, including candidate pipelines and upcoming needs.
6. Reporting and Data Management:
• Maintain accurate records of candidates, interviews, and hiring processes in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics, candidate status, and hiring trends.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in field recruitment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently to job sites and events.
• Familiarity with ATS systems and recruitment tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Frequent travel required (depending on geographic location and hiring needs).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for events.
• On-site presence at job fairs, recruitment events, and client locations.
• Relationship-building skills to establish rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local labor markets and industry trends.
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to changing recruitment needs and environments.
